Package list

The package list is a table which displays information related to all the packages. Each row is a package and each column is the package property.

As shown in the figure above, all the information in one row belongs to one package. The symbol at the beginning of each package reflects the install status. The significance of each symbol is as follows:

 

This indicates that the package is installed in the selected LabVIEW version.

This indicates that the package is installed in the selected LabVIEW version but it is not the latest version. There is a newer version available in your library.

This indicates that the package is not compatible with the selected LabVIEW version or operating system. Note: you will only see these types of packages if you have disable the option called Show Only Installable Packages in the General  tab of the options window.

No Symbol

This means that the package is compatible with selected LabVIEW version or operating system but is not installed yet.

Each column in the package list is a property associated with the package.

      Package Name: Name of the package

      Version: Version number of the package

      Release: Release number of the package

      Online Status: Location of the package.

Local means that the package has been downloaded into your library.

Remote means that the package is available for download and does not reside in your library.

      LV Version: Displays the versions of LabVIEW with which the package is compatible.

      OS Version: Displays the operating systems on which the package will operate successfully.

      Vendor: Package supplier name

      Packager: Name of the person or entity who created the package.

      License: Name of the license under which the package is being distributed

      Distribution: Category under which the package will be available in the LabVIEW pallet
