The option to register LabVIEW versions is available under the LabVIEW tab in the VIPM options window as shown in the figure below. Clicking on Tools > Options in the VIPM menu will display the options window
Note: Only one package manager can be managing packages on a given LabVIEW version. For example, you cannot have VIPM and OpenG Commander installed and managing packages for the same LabVIEW version.

Register: To add a new LabVIEW version, press the Register shown in the figure above. Pressing this button will open a dialog where you can select the LabVIEW executable on your system. Select the LabVIEW.exe file (LabVIEW.app for Mac or LabVIEW for Linux) which is to be registered as a LabVIEW version and press OK in the file dialog shown. This will add the selected LabVIEW version in the versions list. If the selected LabVIEW version is not recognized by VIPM, you will see the Define LabVIEW Version Dialog.
After your LabVIEW version is selected, you will be shown the Configure LabVIEW Port dialog so you can specify the VI Server TCP/IP port that VIPM can use to communicate with your registered LabVIEW version. If you are registering multiple LabVIEW versions with VIPM it is recommended to use a different port address for each LabVIEW version.
Un-register: Select the LabVIEW version to be un-registered with VIPM and press Unregister which will open a confirmation dialog. Pressing YES will close the confirmation dialog and remove the selected LabVIEW version from VIPM.
Edit Port: This button launches the Configure LabVIEW Port dialog so you can change the port number for the selected LabVIEW version.
Connection Timeout: This field allows you to set the time allowed to establish a connection from VIPM to LabVIEW. If a connection is not established within the specified time then VIPM with give an error and abort the attempt.
