Checking the Network for Available Packages

VIPM supports automatic checking and downloading of packages from the internet. To populate your package list with all the available packages you must check for package updates from the internet. If you do not do this your package list will be empty.

To perform this check you must have an active Internet connection and then click on the  button on the VIPM toolbar. This will access the remote package repository and compare the packages in your library with what’s available remotely. After this is performed you will see the packages in your list.
